I have done illustrations for two books thus far. The one being "Napi and The Fox", it is as story about Napi using the fox to distract some buffalo so that he can hunt them. The story has a almost disturbing but comical ending.
The second story that I am still working on is "Napi and The Rock", in this story Napi's arrogance gets him into trouble then he needs to think fast to escape unharmed.
These Illustration are done on Watercolor paper with Gauche as medium. I really enjoy working with Gauche because the colors can be as vivid or as watercolor-like as I desire. I also like the easy clean up. :)

In die Karoo
16*20"
Sold
Wow! Halt!
Life happens and then before I know it has almost been a month since I promised African Landscapes. Well better late than never. This painting is painted from a picture we took while driving in the Karoo. These huge Aloe-type trees were fascinating. And yes they are really as tall as a building.

Update!
Hi There! Or How'zit?
There are two new big things that you need to know about.
For one, I recently returned from a trip to South Africa. What an inspiring time it was! Keep your eyes peeled for my new paintings inspired by African landscapes.
And the second note worthy news is that I am participating in the Night of Artists in Onoway again this year. It is April 23rd and 24th in the Onoway Community hall. There you can come see the new Africa inspired art pieces. You can see who else will be present at this website.

Painting Knife Paintings
Today I posted my Palette Knife paintings. Flowers have always been my favorite subject matter. I did realize that abstract flowers are more dynamic than flowers painted in a more realistic manner.
